From the moment you open the bag and that waft of cheesiness fills your nostrils, you know its The Cheese. However, after a quick discussion, it appears that very few people understand the origins of the Big Buddha Cheese, so allow me to provide you with a brief history so you too may understand the origins of the Cheese and impress your friends with your Cannabis knowledge.

The Origins Of Big Buddha Cheese.

The origins of Big Buddha Cheese stretch back decades over time, back to the mid 1980, when a collective, based around the South of England, and known collectively as Exodus, first began distributing amongst its loosely affiliated members, a rogue Skunk #1 cutting which was grown from a packet of Skunk#1, supplied by The Sensi Seed Bank. Unlike today, some 30 years on, where we have a wide and assorted variety of Cannabis Seeds, both Feminized and Regular, back in the early to mid 1980's the selection was rather limited more Commercial Land-Race Cannabis, and the emergence of the Nederweed, piloted by such names as Shantibaba and Arjan, from the Greenhouse, along with Simon of Serious Seeds, marked a new generation of Weed and high quality Cannabis and Marijuana seeds to emerge from Amsterdam. 

One such Cannabis strain which gained huge popularity upon its release was the renown Skunk #1, the original genetics are still available to this day from Sensi Seeds and The Flying Dutchman. A good yielding Indica-Sativa hybrid, this became one of the foundation Cannabis strains for the future of Neder Weed that we all know and love today. Exactly who bought, planted and subsequently cloned this rogue seed is unknown. What is known is that from a packet of 10 Skunk #1 Feminised Cannabis seeds purchased from Sensi Seeds, a rogue female was found. Micheal, The Big Buddha, realized the uniqueness of this Cannabis strain, and set about feminising and self-seeding the clones in an attempt to create a stable version of the Clone. With some help from fellow Cannabis cultivators, and through the use of the then newly acquired technique of being able to feminize and stabilize a strain of Marijuana, The Big Buddha Cheese was born.

How To Start Growing Weed Indoors.

Are you considering growing weed indoors? In many countries it is illegal to cultivate Cannabis or Marijuana Seeds indoors, however, if you are lucky enough to live in a country that does allow you to grow weed indoors, then here are a few basic tips to help you get started a little quicker.

Growing Weed Indoors.

Many people will begin by looking for the necessary equipment and the vast array of techniques that are available to help you in your quest to start growing weed indoors. However, in reality this is not really the correct way to begin, allow me to explain why. You have probably already many hours surfing the internet looking at pictures, reading and considering the various methods that you can use.

For the basic first-time Cannabis grower, it is often easier to start by growing in soil, however, with a little patience and understanding, hydroponic growing weed indoors is just as easy to master and produce a quality crop from, as the more simpler organic methods.

Selecting Feminized Cannabis Seeds will ensure that that the plants you choose to grow will be female cannabis plants, giving you the best return for your money.

Once you have successfully chosen your strain of seeds and placed your order with a reputable supplier, such as the selected suppliers we advertise on this page, then it is time to begin selecting your equipment. There is very little use in rushing choosing the right equipment, in fact, you have at least 2 weeks before you really need any equipment at all.

Often people rush out and buy an indoor grow tent, high pressure sodium bulbs, nutrients and and other pieces of equipment which are not yet needed. Depending on the country you live in, your Cannabis seeds may take several days to arrive, once they do, you still have to germinate them and allow them time to sprout as small shoots. The best way to achieve this is to soak your seeds in water for 36-48 hours in a dark place, then, place in kitchen roll, or similar and return them to a warm dark place to enable the seeds to germinate. Once they do, pot them into a small pot, approximately the size of an average cup, and allow them to grow their first few inches before you start to consider purchasing the equipment you need to start growing weed indoors.

It seems i may have touched  a nerve amongst many in the cannabis world by implying that our sacred seed teams could be in league with the spawn of satan, or the governments and powers that be, so i thought this week i would give you a slighty more light-hearted and almost funny little story about an incident that happened to a friend of mine, not too long ago. And so the story goes....

My friend, he can't drive, but that's probably a good thing, he's a good grower, and his shit takes your head off. If this man were to drive, i would get him to ring me and warn me to stay at home, ha ha. Anyway, he can't drive and has a 9 oz bar of your finest autoflowering cannabis to sell, he's been on the phone, got a buyer and just needs to drop it round to the buyer and collect the money. So what does he do next...

He calls a friend, who's cool and happy to drop him at the destination for a nice smoke when it's done. So, an hour later doorbell rings, all's good and my mate jumps in the car, off to the buyers and collect the cash he thinks. Well, on the way, the two get chatting, then out of nowhere this girl crosses the road and BANG, they hit her!! Oh my god, thinks my mate, the Police will be called and i got a freaking 9oz bar of finest Autoflowering Cannabis here on me, i'm Fucked!!

But, she only jumps up and says, "It's ok, it was my fault, i'm alright, and staggers off before my mate can even offer her a lift, strange, right??? So we jump back in the motor and drive off, pretty bloody quick too! they had a quick chat about how that was a lucky escape, deliver the weed and drive home to a good smoke after a mission well accomplished.

As my mate told me this story, i couldn't believe what i was hearing!! Earlier in the day my sister had come to see me and was a little bashed up. When i asked her what had happened, she explained she had been carrying half a bar of top quality weed, when, being a little stoned, she crossed the road without looking properly and BANG, got hit by a frigging car. As she was carrying at the time, she didn't want to make a fuss, and the 2 lads in the car seemed nice enough, so she got up, said it was her fault and got out of there before the Police came and found her in possession of 4 oz of Autoflowering Cannabis.

Ha, ha, ha, did i laugh, and so did my mate when i told him what had happened. Keep smoking people, and hey, just like my friend, and my sister, you never know who you might bump into.

I think to begin with, i first need to state that growing Autoflowering Seeds in England is against the law, as is the cultivation of any Regular or Feminized Cannabis Seeds. That said, should you choose to plant and grow Autoflowering seeds outdoors, you may wish to read a little information about them first.

The growing phenomenon that are Autoflowering Seeds has become the 'Buzz' word in the Cannabis circles and communities around Europe. First introduced by the Joint Doctor, with the Lowryder, and subsequently improved, Lowryder 2, many of the popular and most well known Cannabis Seed breeders have produced their own varieties and strains. Why? Just why, have so many of the standard and Feminized Cannabis seed breeders incorporated these strains into their catalogues? Is it for the growers benefit? Is the market that big? Now why, or indeed how, would anyone come to the conclusion that there was a conspiracy behind the production and indeed the achievement of Autoflowering Cannabis Seeds. It has been a long excepted fact amongst the Dutch smoking community that growing Cannabis from a seed is ok, however, the Dutch authorities take a far more stern approach with clone gardeners. This is due to the fact that all of the Dutch seed companies are registered, and as such pay tax. If a person buys Cannabis seeds from their outlets, whether internet or Coffee shop based, the Dutch Government get their percentage in the form of taxes, and so Cannabis is treated in a similar financial vein as any other business.

Now to the Cannabis Clone gardener, he has no registered business, and so pays no taxes, thus all the revenue raised is considered 'Black-Market' and as a Clone gardener sells rooted Cannabis Clones, he reduces the need to buy Cannabis Seeds, and so, reduces the taxes raised on the sale of Cannabis Seeds. Neither the Cannabis seed companies, or the Dutch authorities enjoy being cut out of the loop by a Clone gardener.

The penalties by the Dutch authorities for Cannabis Clone gardeners mean most grow from seeds, however, across Europe, the boom in Cannabis Clones has become rife, almost to the point where a clone gardener can charge as much for a Clone as the genuine seed company did for the seeds. Without the need to purchase the seeds to grow Cannabis, not only do the Dutch Authorities lose revenue, but the breeders and and Cannabis seed producers and distribution shops do too.

Could it be possible that both the authorities, and the seed company's are tired of these clone gardeners and have found a way to suppress the demand for cuttings and clones, and return to purchasing Cannabis Seeds? One thing is for sure, with the tightening of restrictions on who can be served in the Amsterdam Coffee Shops affecting profits more and more as the restrictions are tightened every year, and the decrease in demand for Cannabis seeds, due to the global rise of clone gardeners, something had to be done to prevent the further fall in profits, and the ultimate collapse of many of the Cannabis seed breeders.
